Beardsley Farm is proud to offer spring, summer and fall internships.
Our internships are great for high school and college students, young adults, and professionals with a little extra time on their hands.
You can count your internship hours towards a community service quota, training hours for other environmental/agricultural jobs, or for class credit at PSTCC or UT (with your professor's approval).
Internships are an easy and fun way to gain hands-on organic farming experience, glean a greater understanding of the Knoxville food system, and contribute to your community. Interns will take on more responsibility than a volunteer, and may be asked to lead tours or assist with field trips. Overall, you will gain a deeper understanding of how Beardsley is run and will get to experience a different side of Beardsley Community Farm.
Interns must be willing and able to work at least 4 hours a week on the farm or in our office during the year, and 10 hours a week in the summer. We will work with you to find a schedule that works best. Unfortunately, Beardsley can only offer unpaid internships at this time.
