Our internships are great for high school and college students, young adults, and professionals with a little extra time on their hands.

You can count your internship hours towards a community service quota, training hours for other environmental/ agricultural jobs, or for class credit at your college (with your department/professor's approval).

Internships are an easy and fun way to gain hands-on organic farming experience, glean a greater understanding of the Knoxville food system, and contribute to our community. Our internships are largely self-designed, allowing you to take on projects that forward your personal and professional goals. Want to try your hand at agricultural education? Maybe you are a business major with a fundraising idea? A biology student looking to do research outside the lab? We will work with you to ensure both you and the farm get the most out of your time. Overall, you will gain a deeper understanding of how a farm is run and will get to experience a different side of Beardsley Community Farm.

Interns must be willing and able to work at least 10 hours a week on the farm or in our office. We will work with you to find a schedule that works best. Interns receive a weekly share of produce from the farm.
