Avifauna Gourd House Building Workshop

  • CAC Beardsley Community Farm 1741 Reynolds Street Knoxville, TN, 37921 United States (map)

Avifauna is a month-long celebration of birds and we are hosting a FREE workshop for the community to make gourd houses for birds with the Museum of Inifinite Outcomes.

This spring is your year. It is also the bird’s year. It’s the year that you learn how to build a birdhouse. In this class, students will be the architects, constructing and decorating their own Purple Martin Gourd Birdhouse. While many birds are opportunists and build nests just about anywhere, Purple Martins in our region nest almost exclusively in human-built homes.

Registration is required! Register here.

All supplies are included.

Open to ages 10+, children must be accompanied by an adult.

This is a beginner level course, no previous experience required.
